From Desks to Destinations: Sacumen’s 11th Anniversary Escape to Sakleshpur
Beyond the Office: The Journey to Sakleshpur
An anniversary is usually marked by a gathering, a cake, and a few words about the journey so far. Sacumen chose to make its 11th anniversary a little different.
Instead of celebrating within closed walls, Sacumenites packed their bags and set out from Bengaluru to Sakleshpur, covering around 220 km to reach the lush landscapes of the Western Ghats. The destination was Stone Valley Resort, where two days were set aside for something that often gets lost in the rhythm of everyday work: simply being together.
For a while, laptops stayed closed. Meetings were replaced by conversations, notifications by laughter, and work routines by a shared experience away from the office.

Celebrating the Spirit of India and Sacumen
The celebration also coincided with Independence Day, giving the gathering another reason to come together.
The patriotic spirit was evident as Sacumenites participated in Independence Day celebrations, followed by cultural performances prepared by employees. Music, dance, enthusiasm and plenty of laughter filled the celebration.
What made the evening special was not just the performances themselves, but the people behind them. Colleagues who usually connect through projects, meetings and messages came together to perform, cheer, encourage and celebrate one another.
It was a reminder that a workplace is made up of people with interests, talents and personalities that go far beyond their roles.

11 Years of Sacumen: Celebrating the People Behind the Journey
The anniversary celebration was at the heart of the outing.
Eleven years is a significant milestone, but the occasion was less about counting the years and more about recognising the people who helped make them meaningful. Employee awards and recognition brought individuals and teams into the spotlight whose contributions have shaped Sacumen’s journey.
The Best Team recognition was another highlight, celebrating collaboration and the collective effort that keeps the organisation moving forward.
Sharing his thoughts on the occasion, Nitesh Sinha reflected on the journey and the people who have been part of it. His message added meaning to the celebration, bringing everyone back to what an anniversary truly represents: the people, relationships and shared effort behind the organisation.

From the Hills to the Waterfalls
The celebration did not stop with the anniversary programme.
Sakleshpur itself became part of the experience. Surrounded by hills, greenery and waterfalls, the team stepped outdoors and explored the natural beauty of the region.
Trekking brought a different kind of energy to the group. Away from screens and office spaces, conversations flowed more freely. There were candid photographs, shared laughs, moments of adventure and plenty of memories created along the way.
Nature provided the setting, but it was the people who made the experience memorable.
The Memories We Took Back

By the time the team headed back, the two-day outing had become more than an annual event. It had created moments that employees could carry back with them.
For some, it was the trek. For others, it was the cultural performances, awards, conversations, waterfalls, or simply spending time with colleagues outside the workplace.
The employee testimonials captured this best:
“This year’s 11th anniversary celebration was special because it took us beyond the usual office routine and into Sakleshpur. From singing and dancing on the bus to awards, campfires, trekking and countless memories, it felt less like an event and more like a getaway with the Sacumen family. – Sharon Dsouza, Senior Software Developer – Python”
“Two days away from the usual routine gave me the chance to truly connect with colleagues, enjoy nature, and create unforgettable memories. From bus rides and dancing to trekking, games, and endless laughter, this annual outing was an experience I’ll always cherish. – Pavan Kumar Kunapu, Senior Software Engineer”
Different people remembered different moments, but a common thread ran through them: the joy of stepping away from work and experiencing something together.
Sacumen’s 11th anniversary in Sakleshpur was ultimately a celebration of people. It was two days of stepping away from the desks, discovering a new side of colleagues, celebrating achievements and creating memories together.
Sometimes, the best way to celebrate a journey is to pause, look around, and enjoy the company of the people who are travelling with you.
